I actually picked it out from the birthday club from my local library and I still have it to this day (It is the only children’s book I kept).
(This also fits with this because it is my 20th birthday today!)

‘Twas the Night Before Christmas. It was the only story my Dad would read to us. He didn’t like doing it very much but he did it anyway. Must have been our joyful smiles that got him through it.

I liked “Where the sidewalk ends”, “Sideways stories from Wayside school”, the “Little House on the Prairie” series “Baby-sitter’s Club” “The Borrowers” and a lot more. I don’t think I ever really had a favorite.
The Boxcar Children series my favorite was the Mystery of the Purple Pool.
Play ball Joey kangaroo. The first book I ever read.
Maniac Magee by Jerry Spinelli

The Giving Tree.. a wonderful story of selfishness and selflessness all rolled into a quick and thought provoking read. Anything by Shel Silverstein is worth its weight in gold.
