Regular Cafe Customer Fails to Show Up—Owner Saves Her Life at Home

July 11, 2012

Moorabbin, Australia:

WHEN Moorabbin cafe owner Mark Montagnani’s regular elderly customer didn’t come in for lunch one Friday, he knew something was wrong – a hunch that ultimately saved Iris Thomsen’s life.

Mrs Thomsen, 87, has had lunch at Sweet Lovers Cafe in Station St every Friday for the past nine years.

So on June 8 when she didn’t show up, Mr Montagnani became concerned.

Ms Thomsen had tripped on her electric blanket cord that morning, and broken both hips.

You can read the rest of that nice story at the Moorbbin Leader.

And: Excellent human-ing, Mark Montagnini! We salute you!
