TSA Agent Stirs Grandfather’s Ashes With Finger, Spills Them

Holy crap, this is just awful:
When he arrived at the TSA checkpoint, “They opened up my bag, and I told them, ‘Please, be careful. These are my grandpa’s ashes.’ She picked up the jar. She opened it up.”
The agent not only opened the sealed jar, but stirred the contents with her finger, allowing an estimated quarter to a third of the ashes to spill out on to the floor.
Gross frantically tried to scoop up as much of his grandfather’s remains as he could, “She didn’t apologize. She started laughing.”

I can understand the airline wanting to make sure nothing illegal or dangerous was concealed within the ashes, but the agent spilling them & laughing at this poor, grieving man is UNFORGIVABLE!! The airlines should either X-ray/scan the item(s) to avoid opening the jar(s), or provide a suitable tray for catching & containing any of the remains that may accidentally be spilt during examination, so they can be returned to the jar(s), ensuring that the deceased is kept whole. I also think she should be FLAT-OUT FIRED for showing such abhorrent & callous behavior towards the deceased & his surviving relatives.
i would have sewed! to the max against her. thats something that the grandpa should haunt her. i would have my mom hold the erun while i slapped her and punch her. she should go to jail and never see or touch an airport again. sorry to the grandson/daughter.
