grand central station. the enormity of the building is breathtaking. i worked as a runner in the city for a couple of summers when i was a teen and i always enjoyed taking a shortcut through grand central
The dakota building due it being close to Central Park. It being used in the movie “Rosemary’s Baby” and tragedy of John Lennon. Just the building itself is beautiful layout of gothic art.
i like the zoo in buffalo – at one time they had a green polar bear
Yankee Stadium. Times Square. Battery Park
Statue of Liberty and ellis island. It says it all.
Being a child who lived in new york til I was 10, the Brooklyn Bridge was my favorite landmark
I really like Niagara Falls. I could watch the water flowing over the falls for hours.
Statue of Liberty or Niagara Falls…hard to say which is best!
Ellis Island, my mother came over during after WWII with my brother and I. I don’t remember it myself, but she told us about New York and how I spoke my first English words there.
The Empire State Building—once the tallest building in the world and an engineering and architectural innovation paving the way for future skyscrapers, forever gracing the skyline.
While there are far too many to pick one, and I could choose any of the above mentioned for much the same reason, I would say Times square is most used to represent New York in the media.
I gotta say Rockefeller Center, always beautiful summer and winter and such a focal point for the city.
Rupert G’s Hello Deli from Letterman.
Six Flags Great Escape and Splashwater Kingdom
Times Square…….nuff said
the statue of Liberty & the Canadaigua river
I’ve never been there, though I hope to make it someday. There are so many amazing landmarks that I would want to see, but just off the top of my head I would say the Rockefeller Centre. So many amazing shows are filmed there, and it’s such a beautiful building!

Grand Central Station… the only building with enough toilet stalls to read the entire Uncle John’s Collection in 10 minute seatings.
Rockerfeller Center– at Christmas time. One year I went with a bunch of store managers! What a great place to go at Christmas time!!!
The best attraction in New York State is either that real cute waitress who visited the bunk of my truck or Watkins Glen racetrack. Back in 95 I got to meet a lot of the guys from Nascar and saw a Hell of a race.
Broadway shows. All of ‘em.
Love Lady Liberty!!
My favorite NYC landmark? High Line Park! Great stroll and whenever you stop, there’s restaurants and cafes nearby and great stores everywhere. Unbeatable on a good day.
I’m a fan of 30 Rock Plaza
Without a doubt Rockefeller Center (SNL, oh yeah)
Central Park is majestic in its beauty
Dean & Deluca in Rockefeller Center. A good cup of coffee and watching the people skate – love it!
Flushing Ney York in General
1700 Broadway, 4th (or is it 3rd) floor, the office of MAD Magazine.
59 1/2 years on, and they are still going strong!
I absolutely LOVE New York! My favorite thing? Oh my. . . Central Park, Broadway shows, Time Square, all the taxi cabs, sidewalk vendors, tons of people walking the streets. . . .
